e-minerals Forms Strategic Alliance With Insidewire
Edgar Sigal Appointed Chief Technology Officer
e-minerals exploration corp. (EMIN - CDN) announces that it has entered into a strategic alliance with Insidewire Services Inc., a leading provider of web development, exposure and hosting services, commencing immediately. Insidewire, which currently hosts the www.e-minerals.com website, will provide e-minerals with all its web development requirements and will host e-minerals' internet business website.
Insidewire Services Inc. (www.insidewire.com) is an Internet services firm, specializing in the planning, design, programming, integration, marketing, and maintenance of business-to-business and business-to-consumer websites. Insidewire's portfolio consists of clients such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, houseWAREhouse.com, Boyle & Company, IMIWard Associates, Jarislowsky Fraser Limited, RoommatesOnline.com, Israel Cancer Research Fund, Chair-man Mills and Mortgageforless.com.
Pursuant to the strategic alliance agreement dated June 1, 1999 e-minerals has agreed to issue to Insidewire 100,000 common shares of e-minerals at a deemed price of $1.50 per share and Insidewire has agreed to provide all e-minerals' web development, exposure and hosting services at Insidewire's cost. Insidewire is at arms' length to e-minerals. The share issuance will not result in any change of control of e-minerals.
e-minerals also announces that Insidewire principal, Edgar Sigal has been appointed e-minerals' Chief Technology Officer. Edgar Sigal recently attended the Real Networks Conference and Exhibition, '99 in San Francisco, California on behalf of e-minerals. Real Networks is the leading provider of audio and video streaming technology for the internet.
James P. Boyle, Chairman of the Board of e-minerals stated "e-minerals strategic alliance with Insidewire and the addition of Edgar Sigal to the management team as Chief Technology Officer continues e-minerals internet business strategy which really began with e-minerals groundbreaking online initial public offering. e-minerals Beta Site Launch Rescheduled
e-minerals also announces that the previously announced beta roll-out of its financial information website at www.e-minerals.com has been reschedule to June 15, 1999. James P. Boyle, Chairman of the Board said "The prototype site has nailed the fundamental infrastructure for the new www.e-minerals.com website, namely focused, relevant financial information. Insidewire and the O.K. Alright team are tuning up the product offering to refine the site's attitude and add some content specific features." The prototype website is available for review by e-mailing to prototype@e-minerals.com requesting the confidential web address.
On January 5, 1998 e-minerals became the first company in Canada to offer its shares for sale directly to investors over the internet. e-minerals was financed to explore a zinc mineral property in Clarendon Township, Ontario, located approximately 400 kilometers east of Toronto and 113 kilometers southwest of Ottawa. e-minerals has recently conducted regional mapping over the property and will, weather permitting, finish soil sampling the property by the end of June, to complete its geochem plotting to determine high priority zinc and gold targets for future stripping, trenching, detailed sampling and diamond drilling.
